John Cage's "STEPS": A Composition for a Painting to be Performed by Individuals and Groups (2nd notation, 2006), as performed (painted and danced) by former Merce Cunningham dancers Jamie Scott (foreground) and Emma Desjardins at the Festival-ending event, held at the University of California, Washington Center, September 10, 2012. Each performance of "STEPS" filled a 20-yard- by 72-inch-wide roll of rag paper stretched and taped to the floor for stability.
