Former Merce Cunningham dancers Emma Desjardins and Jamie Scott in an alternate view of the previous photo image, drawing the 5-foot-wide, custom-made brush as they dance and paint John Cage's "STEPS": A Composition for a Painting to be Performed by Individuals and Groups (2nd notation, 2006).

Previously realized "STEPS" paintings can also be seen in the backgrounds of some images from the percussion day events at the Katzen Arts Center Museum at American University.
